I saw a pair of these Russian felt boots on a girl in the ‘burg years ago. They’re called Valenki and are a national symbol of Russian heritage, boasting foot-warming capabilities in 40 below weather.
I think I need a pair. Loving that little rubber shoe-cap-jobby that slips over the toe for water protection. Deep puddle splashing probably not a great idea unless the idea of soggy felt leaves you a flutter.
