What I accomplished in 2010:
- Went almost completely caffeine free. (Sure I’ve had some accidental slip ups here and there, and yes, I still enjoy chocolate, but my coffee habits are strictly decaffeinated.)
- Designed the Dutchmill Garden and Brooklyn Contra logos.
- Became interested in floral design.
- Developed a more secure sense of my styling/prop mistress abilities.
- Rounded up fifty bakeries and helped to raise near 50K for pediatric cancer research via a giant bake sale in conjunction with Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, OXO, and Glad.
- Did the Warrior Dash. (ha!!!)
- Learned to humanely lobotomize a lobster (via classes at ICE), prior to boiling.
- Realized quiet holidays at home are sometimes best.
What I aim to accomplish in 2011:
- Take some proper floral design classes.
- Get a handle on my finances. (Savings account…what savings account?)
- Get fit! I’d like to work my way up to running the Brooklyn half-marathon come May…and maybe shed a few pounds in the meantime.
- Start resin casting gaudy rings and bangles.
- Grow my hair out really long.
- Travel parts of Europe (after my recent passport snafu).
