I was originally committed to working flowers this morning, and was ramped up for some Cosmos (the flower, not the drink), but a mechanical issue with the truck prevented it from making it into Brooklyn. So, in light of my freed up day, Kb and I took a little field trip over to the Brooklyn Flea:

Naturally, we got our nosh on:

I opted for a mini meatball sandwich as I love all things mini, and this was right up my alley. Roman’s (of the Marlow & Sons/Daughters family) is located in Fort Greene but does a tent at the Flea on weekends. The meatball was a little too big to eat sandwich style without squashing, so I split it up and did it open-faced. Yum!

Being the lumberjack he is, Kb went straight for the BBQ. HNH BBQ hails from Texas and is tres legit. That’s a brisket sandwich above with a side of potato salad. It too was delicious. And they’re available for hire! I love this whole portable food vendor revolution that’s going on.
