In celebration of the start of fall tomorrow, and my plight for the perfect black boot, I bring you a collection of some of my favorites (I’ll keep it short and sweet while I plot ways to make more cash to fuel my shoe habit, like selling my eggs):

1. Loeffler Randall Riley Flat Zip Boot: The perfect, and only tall boot I’ll every truly love. Typically I feel like a peter pan reject in tall boots, but not these babies. These are like absolut on ice.

2. Isabel Marant Lacow Boot: Availabe for special order at Stuart & Wright (an amazing Brooklyn-based boutique). Super cute take on the western bootie. Yee-haw!

3. Rachel Comey Penpal Boot: Also available for purchase at Stuart & Wright. I am obsessed with Rachel Comey boots. I have one pair with little tassels from last season that I covet, even though they’re a smidge too small and I can feel my big toe rubbing against the tip.

4. Thermometer Boots: Available for purchase at Anthropologie. Why does Anthro always keep the designer of items a secret? These are so not called “Thermometer Boots”. A marketing ploy, I tell you! Alas, I love the little sherpa detail. 

5. Loeffler Randall June Lace-Up Bootie: Another Loeffler Randall beauty. Can we say perfection in more ways than Loeffler-Randall? I think not.
