fame+frippery is the brainchild of miss brooke a green, a brooklyn-based designer hailing from the cow-laden regions of florida.
her beginnings are humble, the only-child of a dachshund friendly household, she often entertained herself creating pocket-sized sculpey animals intended for sale to her friends. more so, she thought friendship-bracelets were pretty cool, and quickly mastered the craft. her college years led to a degree in creative photography with dabblings in performance art and installation. she found the behind-the-scenes craft undertakings more interesting than the actual documentations themselves, and spent countless hours scavenging for materials. ultimately her interest in art/design led her to new york city where she became increasingly attracted to the diy vibe ever-so-present in brooklyn. the combination of miss green's penchant for lists, entrepreneurial spirit, design affability and voila!, fame+frippery is born.
her designs are influenced by the notions of granny chic, americana, and a throwback to days of yore.
she currently resides in greenpoint, brooklyn, with her dachshund miss opal mae long, and enjoys baking, musing, and manicures in her spare time.
