Happy 2011 Boys & Girls!
Due to some unforeseen muddling in my passport arrival, I shant be whisked off to Rome new year’s day. With tearful abandon, I’ve postponed my flight for another time, perhaps this upcoming spring? Aye aye! 2011 will be a year of new opportunity…and developing creative outlets into something noteworthy…and fostering friendships..and straightening my teeth (my present to...

Lauren Moffatt = Madchen
Did you know designer Lauren Moffatt moonlights under the label Madchen, sold at Anthropologie?  I was browsing at Dear Fieldbinder, when I came upon this hooded coat, which looks strikingly similar to the Daily Constitutional Coat sold at Anthro {pictured below}: Funny how the price points are skewed $100 in the Lauren Moffatt label’s favor. Guess it’s a good thing they’re...

My Very Favorite Holiday Card
How rad is this holiday card?? Photographer Jen Campbell whips one of these delightful dittys each holiday season (a limited edition run of 75)…and funnily enough I’ve gotten number 27/75 two years running. I’m especially fond of the flower-themed scenery (and creature). {above} Flower Monster 2010 Checkout more of Jen’s fashion and still-life stuff while you’re...

Love Ball & Chain's Garlic Clove Necklace!
Being that I am a total vamp-geek: I’m currently lapping up True Blood (heart Alan Ball) and Eclipse was finally released via Netflix earlier this month (sort of painful, btw), my stumbling upon Ball & Chain’s garlic clove necklace was ironically well placed.  Notice the two little red stones and the “bite mark” placement. So clever… Ball & Chain hails...

When Did J.Jill Get So Dang Cute?
I’m really digging these shoes.   The first ones are akin to that nerdy number grandmas everywhere don…maybe a little cuter and less orthopedic. The second remind me of fancy lounge slippers. I need a cigar perhaps…and some good scotch. No but really, J.Jill carries Marais shoes too? Am I just getting older and assimilating to their projected demographic, or are they getting...

Favorite Things: 24 Golden Rings the Sequel
Since my last engagement ring round up, I’ve come across one ring addendum after the next. So much, that here I am again, with a collection of 24 rings I think are amazing and unique. How is a girl to choose?  Comment which are your favorites, will ya? I think I’m personally in love with that humongo pearl below… 1. Erica Weiner Natural Unpolished Diamond Ring, $595  2....

Shakuhachi is Ruffling my Tail Feathers
I’ve got a crankpot dachshund whining to sit in my lap, so I’ll have to let these ruffles speak for themselves. Shakuhachi’s collection makes me feel all fluttery inside, really. All pieces available for purchase at NYC’s very own Pixie Market.  [Editors Note: Shakuhachi is Japanese for a traditional bamboo wind-blown flute…although I think this designer...

Made Me Look: St. Kilda Wall Art
Somehow I skimmed over the vast array of designs by St. Kilda when compiling my engagement ring wishlist. I do still completely love the simplicity of their Loved Ring. Maybe I’ll have to do a followup Part Deux in the near future… I gave St. Kilda’s wares a solid once over today, as they’re doing a pretty neat contest, asking fans and followers alike to name their newest...
